We are conveniently situated between two beaches in the charming seaside village of Penguin (see the map), the home of the fairy penguins on the Central Coast. Golden beaches framed by green parklands with a beautiful floral display of colourful plants stretching for several kilometres on the approach to the town via the scenic road from Ulverstone.
Three parks provide great facilities for family picnics and BBQ's. Children
can enjoy feeding ducks, who are very friendly and ready for a feed. Adults have
a choice of two Pubs to relax in after a day of touring. Great places to eat out
and the local supermarkets and butcher provide all your needs to cater for
yourself.
Shop and browse at the famous Penguin Old School Craft Markets on Sundays,
take the train to Burnie and Ulverstone on
Market days. Visit the Dial Range for bushwalking and horseriding. See Leven
Canyon, and Limestone Caves, local wineries and Gunns Plains all just a short
drive from here. You have easy access to Cradle Mountain
Wilderness or the Nut at Stanley, for day trips when you base yourself at the Central Coast in Penguin.
*Penguin is less than 30 minutes easy drive from the Spirit Of Tasmania Ferry Terminal in Devonport and the Devonport Airport.
